For the first time since 2009, the “Gold Medal” Nike Zoom Kobe IV is primed to make its retail return.
Initial images have emerged and they appear to be a faithful recreation of its 2009 progenitor. It sports gold leather at the toe, wrapping the heel as well as at the collar. FlyWire-equipped side panels on the sides are home to red-bordered navy Swooshes.
Navy shows up on the Kobe logo topped tongue and the inner sports a gold medal graphic.
Underneath the aforementioned upper resides a white midsole as well as a translucent, navy, and red branded rubber outsole.
The “Gold Medal” Nike Kobe IV Protro is planned to embark on its sophomore retail voyage, and begin the latest battle between Kobe fans and the death profiteers, on August 5, unfortunately via the SNKRS application and select retail establishments; they will carry a 190 USD sticker price.
